About the Event
Rope Rescue Technician is a 5-Day course meeting current National standards for the NFPA 1670 and 1006 requirements for Technical Rope Rescue Technician. With Low-Angle Rope Rescue Operational (LARRO) & Rescue Systems-1 as pre-requisites, this course focuses on a higher level of technical rope rigging systems, Incident management, High-Angle Rescue Systems and associated hazards, critical thinking and implementation of victim access options and rescue transport options. Focus is on Team coordination and individual skills performance outlined by the NFPA.
Pre Requisites:
Low Angle Rope Rescue Operations (LARRO)
Rescue Systems 1
NCRT can travel to your State Certified Site to deliver Rescue Systems as needed.
Student Requirements:
Students are required to bring the following equipment to class every day:
- Fire department helmet or rescue helmet
- Rope rescue or fire department gloves
- Long pants or coveralls – NO SHORTS
- Steel toed and shanked safety boots
- Short or long sleeve t-shirt
Optional Equipment:
- Water
- Sun screen
Instructors will require a copy of your LARRO and Rescue Systems 1 certifications at the beginning of class.
